Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters Coffee Shop

Overview

Located at 15 Angel St, Northampton NN1 1ED, United Kingdom, Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters has quickly earned a reputation as one of the town’s best spots for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. With its inviting atmosphere and high-quality offerings, it’s the kind of place where both locals and visitors find themselves returning time and time again.

When you walk into Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters, the first thing that strikes you is the welcoming vibe. The interior feels cozy yet modern, striking a perfect balance between a café where you can relax and a place to grab a quick bite with friends. The café is a mix of minimalistic décor and rustic touches, featuring wooden tables, exposed brick, and plenty of natural light. Whether you're dropping by for your morning coffee or spending an afternoon catching up on work, the ambiance makes it an ideal choice.

The menu at Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters is another highlight. From freshly brewed coffee to artisan pastries, everything is made with care. The selection of coffee is top-notch, with beans sourced from some of the best regions around the world. If you’re a fan of rich, full-bodied brews, their espresso-based drinks are a must-try. I’ve personally had the pleasure of trying their flat white, and it’s nothing short of perfection-smooth, creamy, and with just the right balance of strength.

For those who love variety, the café offers a wide range of options, from lighter lattes to indulgent mochas. The quality of each cup is consistent, and the baristas are skilled, taking the time to perfect each brew. Plus, the menu changes with the seasons, introducing new flavors and special blends regularly.

But it’s not just the coffee that makes this place stand out. Their food menu is also worth mentioning. Whether you're in the mood for a light snack or a full meal, there's something for everyone. The sandwiches are a crowd favorite-made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and served on soft, perfectly toasted bread. If you're looking for a breakfast option, their avocado toast with poached eggs is a popular pick, and for a little sweetness, you can't go wrong with their freshly baked pastries, particularly the almond croissants.

What truly sets Yellow Bourbon apart is its focus on creating an experience for its customers. Many cafés focus only on the quality of their coffee, but Yellow Bourbon does an exceptional job of combining great food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They understand that people come to cafés not just for a caffeine fix, but for a chance to unwind, socialize, or even get a bit of work done. This attention to detail is reflected in everything they do-from the music played in the background to the speed of service.

Another aspect that keeps me coming back is their customer service. The staff is always friendly, approachable, and eager to help. They have a deep knowledge of their menu and can easily recommend the perfect drink for your tastes. This personalized touch adds a lot to the overall experience, making every visit feel special.

Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters also boasts a solid online presence. Their social media profiles are updated regularly, giving followers a sneak peek into the latest additions to the menu, upcoming events, and seasonal promotions. Their website is user-friendly, making it easy to check out their menu or learn about the story behind the café.

For those who are still on the fence, the glowing reviews from locals and visitors alike speak for themselves. Many patrons rave about the friendly environment, excellent coffee, and unique menu items. There’s even a lot of buzz around their specialty coffee offerings, which often draw in enthusiasts looking for something beyond the typical coffeehouse experience.

As a regular, I can confidently say that Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters has made its mark in Northampton. It’s more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee-it’s a community hub where people come to relax, work, and enjoy some of the best coffee in town. Whether you're looking for a cozy place to spend the afternoon or just need a quick caffeine boost on the go, this café offers a welcoming environment and top-quality drinks that will leave you coming back for more.

Had a latte and the coffee strudel cake - my word!! One of the best made coffees I have ever had. Not over compressed , milk not burning hot - just perfect!! The strudel was absolutely delicious. The venue is loads of fun with an avenue of classic cars / hotrods and motorcycles just nearby for some good eye candy!! An amazing gem of a place!!

Visited around 2pm on Thursday. I ordered an iced Americano and was very pleased with it - especially as the staff prepared my drink so quickly! It's a lovely little coffee shop with great taste in music and cool decor. I really enjoyed visiting and would definitely recommend.

First time in Yellow Bourbon after a recommendation. Beautiful atmosphere and coffee very well done. I'll be grabbing a kilo of bean on the way out

Honestly just my favourite coffee spot. Staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. I come every Saturday morning to read my book and it’s always a nice chilled vibe, the coffee is the best I’ve had. My only complaint is there isn’t more YB shops because nothing else competes

Such a gem of a place in Northampton! They sell locally freshly roasted coffee from a variety of places! There are plenty of unique coffees here if you are particularly into your coffee. The espresso I had was so interesting and the coffee macaroon was such a treat! I really enjoyed how you served ice water with the espresso, as it should be! I also treated myself to some Colombian coffee beans which I tried when I got home and they were amazing, such an intense flavour! Highly recommend if you want a “posh” coffee!

Not a coffee connoisseur at all ,but can tell it’s a good coffee by how many people are in/out of the shop, considering it’s in a tiny back street. The pain au chocolat patisery was one of the best I’ve had. Very small shop with currently no sitting inside, although there were a couple of benches to sit outside in nice weather.

Up there with one of the best coffee experiences I've had. Found it to be reasonably priced for the quality. I also liked it was served in a mug and not an arty-farty wide brimmed cup for a change! Highly recommend if you're a Black-Americano fan. Son had a hot chocolate which he guzzled down and enjoyed a flapjack too.
